Opera Ballet School

This was the eight year when I was photographing the Helsinki Samba Carnaval (the first year was 2003). This year Helsinki Samba Carnaval celebrated it´s 20th anniversary, and all seven samba schools created one big parade together. This was also the second year when I was taking photos for the The Association of Finnish Samba Schools (SSKL), and some of my photos are already used as press photos. Being the official photographer had the benefit that I could move freely in the parade area. I had not any more need to fight about space with other photographers in the best spots 😉

The Samba School Império do Papagaio arranged 20 year anniversary show last November in Aleksanterin Teatteri. My target was to capture nice expressions and poses, and I think that managed to capture quite a few good ones 🙂
Note: Papagaio arranges a samba show next Sunday (25.4.2010) in Gloria.
