The Professional Make-up Artists of Finland arranged Helsinki Bodypainting Competition 2015 at I love me event on 17.10.2015. The theme of the bodypainting competition was “Secrets and illusions”.

The winners are in the above photo: Bodypainting by Tanja Viitanen ja Lily Sjöman (2nd), Bodypainting by Emma Marttinen and Anna Siponen (1st), Bodypainting by Kai Schön (3rd). All photos can be seen in Helsinki Bodypainting Competition 2015 gallery.

The World Gymnaestrada 2015 was held in Helsinki on 12.-18.7.2015.  It was the largest event ever held in Finland in terms of number of participants, over 20,000 gymnasts and gymnastics enthusiasts participated it. I visited it on two days, and photographed many performances. Here you can see photos from two events:

25. Helsinki Samba Carnaval was arranged on 6.6.2015. This was the 7th year when I was photographing the Samba Carnaval for the The Association of Finnish Samba Schools (SSKL). My parade photos are now visible in Helsinki Samba Carnaval 2015 – Parade Part I and Helsinki Samba Carnaval 2015 – Parade Part II galleries. The theme of Império do Papagaio was “Punk”, so we has also unusual samba costumes and expressions in the parade 😉

Tango, El Hurácan / Link to Finnish National Ballet on summer tour 2014 gallery

Finnish National Ballet performed on 29.5.2014 at Kansalaistori square in Helsinki. This performance was part of their summer tour around Finland. This was a third year when Finnish National Ballet made a summer tour. You can see my photos in Finnish National Ballet on Summer Tour 2014 gallery.

The programme was a mix of classical ballet and contemporary dance. The productions were: Don Quijote, Day 351, Snow Queen, Highland O, Tango, El Hurácan and Happy.
