Kallio Kukkii Festival was arranged on 11.5.-20.5.2018. This festival offers tens of different cultural events organized by various local associations, communities and enterprises. Part of this festival is a samba parade that is arranged on the last day. The Samba School Império do Papagaio uses this parade as practice for the Helsinki Samba Carnaval. Kallio Kukkii Festival was arranged on 13.5.-21.5.2017. The festival offers tens of different cultural events organized by various local associations, communities and enterprises.

Part of this festival was also the samba parade that was arranged on the last day. The Samba School Império do Papagaio uses this parade as practice for the Helsinki Samba Carnaval. XXVII Helsinki Samba Carnaval will be arranged on 9.-10.6.2017. Visiting the carnaval is highly recommended! I will be there also photographing the events 🙂

The Professional Make-up Artists of Finland arranged Helsinki Bodypainting Competition 2014 at I love me event on 18.10.2014. The theme of the body painting competition was “The World of Fairytales”.

Marimekko arranged their annual summer fashion show in the Esplanade Park on last Friday (23.5.2014). This year Marimekko celebrated also the 50th anniversary of Unikko pattern in the fashion show. Two previous years the models of this show were dancers from Finnish National Ballet (and they danced, not walked on the catwalk!), but this year the show was again traditional fashion show with models from e.g. Paparazzi Model Management.

Synchronized skating team Rockettes performed their short and free programs in Helsinki on 29.3.2014 before leaving to World Synchronized Skating Championships in Italy. Rockettes won bronze medal with these programs 🙂 Congratulations to them!
